Hellen is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Florida. She is responsible for the USF graduate and professional student interests pertaining to academic, social, and cultural issues in regular meetings with the USF President, Provost, Dean of the Graduate School, the Graduate Council, Student Government, and other University Administrators. Keara Dotson is the Vice President of the Graduate and Professional Student Council, and participates in the planning, organization, and execution of several events for graduate students, such as professional workshops, conferences, banquets, and socials. Keara is pursuing a master's degree in Applied Anthropology from the University of South Florida, and has also served as a graduate instructional assistant for the Department of Anthropology.

Alec Smith is the Treasurer of the Graduate and Professional Student Council and has been employed with the Graduate School since August of 2008. In this role, he is responsible for coordination and oversight of the GPSC's Budget and all purchases. Alec has worked at USF since 2003, first with the New Student Welcome Center as a tour guide for 4 years and then in the Scholarship Office, both part of Undergraduate Admissions.
In December 2009 Alec plans on graduating with a Masters of Architecture from the School of Architecture + Community Design at USF. His thesis is on the study and development of a Transitional Housing Unit for Victims of Catastrophes.
Amal Patel

Amal is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida. He has previously been affiliated and worked as the President of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and also currently serves as Director of Student Government Computer Services, the on campus computer lab located in the Marshall Student Center. He currently maintains the GPSC website, list serve, and inbox, and has previously participated in the planning, organization, and execution of GPSC events including professional workshops and conferences, banquets, and socials.

Matthew Gaboury is the Public Relations Officer of the Graduate and Professional Student Council. In this role, he is responsible for the marketing and promotion of the GPSC’s events and activities. He also currently maintains the GPSC website, and acts as liaison to the numerous Graduate Student Organizations at the University of South Florida. Matt is pursuing a master’s degree through USF’s School of Architecture and Community Design with an emphasis on kinetic modular prototyping.
